Mesh Belt Furnace

A type of furnace utilized across many industries requiring a mid-stream heat-treating system during the manufacturing process, a mesh belt furnace is often the choice solution. A mesh belt furnace is a long, horizontal furnace which enables small or loose parts to pass through one or multiple chamber zones on a moving mesh belt.

At Diablo, we work with our customers in a consultative environment to determine what types of heat-treating processes need to be achieved. Based on the outcome of these conversations, we work with our team of engineers to begin designing, in many cases, a mesh belt furnace that is customized for a customer’s unique operational needs.

Some of the heat-treating processes that a mesh belt furnace can be used for include many of the following: Carburizing, Neutral Hardening, Carbonitriding, Annealing, Normalizing, Stress Relieving, Tempering, and others.

Features:

• Heating System: Direct Gas, Indirect Gas or Electric
• Atmosphere: with or without
• Temperature: normal operating temperature range of 800-1900˚F (426-1038˚C)
• Temperature Uniformity +10˚F
• Doors: One, two, multiple depending on design configuration
• Chain-driven
• Heavy duty furnace construction
• Load capabilities: weight ranges include 1,000, 1,500, 3,500, 5,000, 6,000 lbs and custom sizes.
• Controls: Eurotherm, Honeywell or SSI & Other customer-specified options

All mesh belt furnaces are custom-designed and built for parts and processes specified by engineering.

Roller Hearth

Like a mesh belt furnace, a roller hearth enables movement along a factory line through a heat-treating process. A roller hearth style of furnace is a long horizontal furnace with multiple sets of rollers to transfer parts through one or multiple chamber zones. Used for medium to larger sized parts and components that need to be heat treated, this style of furnace is used across a variety of industries by our customers today.
Many of the heat-treating processes that our customers request a roller hearth style furnace for include the following: Carburizing, Neutral Hardening, Carbonitriding, Annealing, Normalizing, Stress Relieving, Tempering, and other.

Features:

• Heating System: Direct Gas, Indirect Gas or Electric
• Atmosphere: with or without
• Temperature: normal operating temperature range of 1800-1900˚F (426-1038˚C)
• Temperature Uniformity +10˚F
• Modular design of two or multiple chambers: Various, Depending on design configuration
• Various quench systems available
• Heavy duty furnace construction
• Automated: Various levels available
• Load capabilities: weight ranges include 1,000, 1,500, 3,500, 5,000, 6,000 lbs and custom sizes.
• Controls: Eurotherm, Honeywell or SSI & Other customer-specified options

At Diablo Furnaces, the name of our game is customization. As with all other furnace types and heat-treating systems we engineer, all roller hearth furnaces are custom-designed and built for specific parts and processes.
