Paul Gies PE, Engineering Manager
Paul Gies, Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), is Engineering Manager of Diablo Furnaces. With a talent to creatively determine innovative solutions for heat treating equipment, he leads and pushes his team to develop technology beyond what customers have envisioned. Paul has a unique approach to multi-task and seamlessly orchestrate technical aspects among engineering, sales, and production.
With twenty years’ experience, Paul is an accomplished engineer in technically calculating and mechanically designing heat treating equipment. Paul is a Licensed Professional Engineer with the State of Ohio Board of Professional Engineers and Surveyors and holds a B.S. in Construction Engineering Technology from the University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio.
Anne Miner, Sales and Marketing Manager
Anne Miner is Sales and Marketing Manager for Diablo Furnaces. With an extensive background in marketing and sales from both the heat treating and machine tool industries, Anne has driven rapid sales and growth with high impact and penetration in aerospace, commercial heat treaters, and industrial companies. Anne provides a decisive approach with a detailed scope-of-supply to communicate the unique and customized heat treat solutions. Tenacious, personable and determined, Anne provides the goals and strategy required for long-term success.
Graduating from Northern Illinois University (N.I.U.) with a B.A. in corporate communications, and with thirty years’ experience, Anne is well versed and accomplished in sales and marketing.
Rick Claeyssen, Shop and Service Manager
Rick Claeyseen is Shop and Service Manager at Diablo Furnaces. As a veteran of this craft, Rick has operated, built and directed personnel for nearly 35 years in heat treating. With an easy temperament, eye for precision and accuracy, Rick is well respected within the industry. From working hands-on with all types of heat treating equipment, the depths of knowledge and keen ability to detect issues or equipment concerns is second nature. Rick leads by example, often working side-by-side with his team on a daily basis. Willingly teaching and mentoring, Rick’s skills transcend across many areas at Diablo.
Burk Glogowski, Electrical and Service Manager
Burk Glogowski is Electrical and Service Manager at Diablo Furnaces. Working within the heat treating industry for twenty years, Burk offers an instructional approach to his tasks by providing guidance and information to meet specifications. Certified to conduct SAT and TUS evaluations based on NADCAP Interpretation of SAE AMS 2750D, Burk is often the lead for installations and quality inspections. With a personable smile and positive attitude, Burk is the go-to person who is always juggling numerous questions and tasks to meet customer expectations.
